We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join Crosslin Building Supply’s team. We are a family-owned company that has valued our employees since 1933. This is a full-time position, available to receive benefits after 60 days of successful employment. This position is responsible for transporting lumber material to job sites and driving a truck-mounted Moffett forklift to unload the lumber at the job site. The driver must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with customers/dispatch. You must have a current valid Class A CDL, current medical certification card and a clean driving record. Class A CDL Truck Driver must be able to work independently and possess time management skills.

Responsibilities:

· Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner

· Organizing and securing the cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle; ensuring each load is properly strapped for transportation.

· Drive a delivery truck on a predetermined route and schedule; deliver items as instructed

· Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations

· Abide by traffic laws, ensuring safe unlading and delivery to the destination.

· Ensure delivery trucks are clean and in good working condition; perform daily required maintenance checks and report any malfunctions to Supervisor, ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving

Requirements / Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED

· Hold a valid Class A CDL, current medial certification card, and possess a clean driving record along with personal insurance.

· Must be at least 21 years old

· Able to work independently and lift up to 75 lbs.

· Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

· Excellent communication skills

Other Skills & Experience:

· Must have at least 2 years of experience

· Ability to communicate and engage with people from various cultures and backgrounds.

· Interact with customers and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner.

· Great attention to detail

· Ability to operate material handling equipment: forklifts and truck mounted Moffett forklifts

Physical Demands:

· Ability to sit or stand for lengthy periods of time, and lift up to 75 pounds

· Ability to reach over-head to grasp materials, bend, stoop, or squat to the floor on a regular basis

· Perform duties in all weather conditions

Attendance:

Good attendance is required. Normal Monday – Friday schedules with available overtime.

We are conveniently located off of Tennessee state highway 840, in Southwest Rutherford County, in downtown Eagleville, Tennessee.

We offer lumber, plywood, engineered lumber, builder's hardware, millwork, interior and exterior doors, windows, columns, roofing supplies, and siding. We offer delivery service and customer pick up service at our facility in Eagleville.
